We have proudly upheld a strong legacy of excellence for over 150 years. Generations of families have used our products for decades, trusting the quality of the American Standard name. We have the most therapeutic jets of any walk-in tub, the fastest draining system, and the best lifetime warranty in the industry. All of our walk-in tub installations are completed by licensed, insured and American Standard factory-trained & certified installers. We raise the standard by providing incredible value to our customers year after year.
ComfortSeries™ bathtubs are designed with accessible design, style & therapeutic technology in mind. Our goal is that users are safe, able to bathe independently, in comfort, and ensuring overall wellness. Our tubs include 44 HydroTherapy jets to assist in the treatment of illness and injury, and in eliminating toxins that cause joint pain and inflammation. Chromatherapy and Aromatherapy use the effect of colour and scent to boost relaxation, reduce tension, and to trigger positive health, emotional, and mental well-being. Outward opening door models are fully accessible for walker or wheelchair users, with a fully contoured transfer seat. The door will open over nearby obstacles, such as a right-height toilet.
American Standard is the inventor of the acrylic walk-in bathtub, and our prices are much lower than other tubs advertised on TV and in magazines, which do not offer all the same safety features or a true Lifetime Warranty. For 150 years, American Standard has led the way in developing innovative bathing solutions that have set and re-set the standards for living healthy, living responsibly, and living beautifully. It is a proud legacy that has made American Standard one of the most trusted brands in the industry. Our products stand and by far exceed the market standards.

Absolutely. American Standard’s ComfortSeries™ Walk-In Tubs are designed to be Arthritis Friendly and Easy-to-Use. 44 strategically placed air and water jets help target specific areas of your legs, back, knees, feet and hands. Customers experience improvement in their blood flow and circulation when using their hydrotherapy jets on a regular basis.
ComfortSeries™ Walk-In Tubs have an industry leading 44 air and water jets, which are strategically placed to melt away all those aches and pains. The easy-to-use touch pad allows you to have complete control over your bathing experience. Choose your desired settings of hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, and chromatherapy for a total body rejuvenating experience that can calm, comfort, refresh and revitalize you.
All ComfortSeries™ walk-in bathtubs include an American Standard fast-fill bath filler faucet with multi-function handshower and safety slidebar. Use it standing up or sitting down for peace of mind and security while showering and bathing. The ADA/ASC compliant safety slidebar complies with all building codes and CSA/ASC B652 standard for Accessible Dwellings.
Typically, it takes about 5-10 minutes to fill your ComfortSeries™ tub, however this can vary depending on your water service and pressure in your home. American Standard has the only patented Quick Drain® fast water removal system, an exclusive innovation that drains the water out of your walk-in tub in less than 2 minutes. Most other walk-in tubs take significantly longer. Each ComfortSeries™ tub also includes an In-line Water Heater that operates to maintain water temperature during your bathing experience.
Yes. Our outward opening tubs are the most popular because they have doors with a wider entrance that allows you to sit on the seat first rather than stepping in. They are designed to provide an easier transfer when entering and exiting the bath, providing better accessibility for people who cannot lift their legs over a shower threshold or a standard bathtub. It is also a better Aging in Place solution for long-term independence at home.
For inward opening tubs, our patented T5™ Door System forms a hydrostatic seal when compressed by latching the door. Additionally, the weight of the water inside the tub further compresses the door seal making it completely leak proof. The outward opening door locks with 2 heavy-duty stainless steel bolts when the handle is engaged. All door seals are guaranteed with a Lifetime Warranty.
Depending on the size you select, the price can vary. Our prices are much lower than other tubs advertised on TV and in magazines, which do not offer all the same safety features of a ComfortSeries™ or a true Lifetime Warranty. The price may also vary depending on if it is a simple installation, or if the installer needs to widen doorways, or install new walls, etc. You will receive a quote the day of the in-home consultation, it will include all the associated costs.
In many cases, a ComfortSeries™ tub will add value to your home, and can be a big selling point to older adults, and others with mobility restrictions. Homes with safety modifications already completed are usually in high demand.
All ComfortSeries™ home & healthcare accessible and walk-in tubs are all-inclusive. ComfortSeries™ walk-in tubs are always in stock at our facility in Ontario to meet emergency needs of clients across Canada. Installation is dependent on the work to be done, and the scheduling of our installers. Usually between 1-2 weeks. If you are purchasing an Installation-Ready tub only, delivery would typically occur 7-10 days after full tub preparation depending upon ship-to location.
Every ComfortSeries™ Walk-In Tub is 100% factory tested with water prior to leaving our manufacturing facility, and again before it leaves our Canadian distribution facility to you. Each and every tub comes with a comprehensive, quality assurance Lifetime Warranty on every component of the tub and also coverage of the installation and labour for life. We firmly believe our lifetime warranty is the best in the industry. If your tub door leaks at any time, we will repair or replace it at no cost to you.
A typical installation can be completed in 1 day. Our certified installers will professionally remove your old tub, and install your new ComfortSeries™ walk-In tub. When the installation is complete, they will test it again to make sure everything is working properly, and will show you how to use each feature of your new walk-in tub.
